Working in hydrocarbon reservoirs and ore systems hosted in salt or brine-influenced sediments needs more than a basic knowledge of depositional sedimentology. It requires the practitioner to be aware of the complexities of subsurface interpretation resulting from the ongoing diagenetic evolution of brine and structural overprint on carbonate reservoirs or ore bodies with hydrologies that are tied to the subsurface coming and going of large salt masses.
Web links on this page are designed to help you deal with some of this complexity at the reservoir and ore body scale and are extracted from training modules covered in more depth in our various courses and workshops.
